The beauty in everything.

In my mind, i use the term 'Beautiful' very freely. I think it has a different meaning to me than everyone else:

The way people grow apart is equally beautiful.

Dissonant chords are beautiful.

I don't know why i felt the need to write this. What i was going to write is that tomorrow, after college, i am going to go crazy in Blackwell's Music book store. =]

I'll probably only have enough money for one book. BUT! Has anybody been into the theory section in there?

Oh My Sweet lord...

I almost didn't leave the other day. There's so many interesting books on music and psychology, orchestration, and there's even one about Wagner and Hitler and stuff which looked particularly interesting.

Basically, i need some new musical playthings before i get a really decent grip on polyrhythms.

By playthings, i mean: Harmonic ideas, rhythmic ideas, orchestration ideas. . . there must be more out there. Anyway, that's what i need the books for.

Speaking of Polyrhtyhms. I went polyrhythm crazy today whilst trying to write songs for my college band. They wanted something nice and acousticky; I gave them riffs in diffferent polyrhythms.

Mmmmmm Poly.

The mathematics involved in Music is probably one of the most beautiful things i have ever encountered.

NERRRRRD!

yes i know. it's my dirty little secret. =]

OH YEAH!

The other day, when i went into oxford, all of the fields and bushes alongside the motorway were all covered in frost. It was awe-inspiring, reminded me of Narnia, only it was actually there.

I don't really have anything of importance to talk about today. I'm gonna go and delete that bit which i wrote about my perception of beauty at the start though, it's sick and unnerving.

People might think i'm weird, and some of this blog won't make sense, but it's my blog, sit on it! =]

peace
