Balls to Facebook. . .

So, today i thought i would change my name to Kyle Wan Kenobi on facebook, but apparently you are not allowed to mimic a famous person/character. This is what i got when i tried to change my name:

This was later followed by a 'Your request for a name change has been rejected by the facebook approval team.'


But what if my name was actually Kyle Wan Kenobi?

I did some research, and i found out that i can change my name to whatever i want, when i want, as long as it isn't in order to defraud anybody.

Most organisations won't believe me that my name is Kyle Wan Kenobi, so i will need to provide proof of my name change.

It turns out,that as long as a legal professional is present and signs a document declaring that they witnessed me change my name, then it is legitimate, and said organisation has to accept this change.

Obviously i will have to pay.

That is, unless anybody knows a legal professional who would do this as a favour?

Doubt it. But anyway, i think it is worh paying a legal professional a small amount of money to change my name.

I might document my little adventure in this blog, who knows?

Cutting my nose off to spite my face or, making myself more awesome to spite facebook and it's stupid, restricting, fascist regulations?
